Access/アクセス The Otemon entrance to the East Gardens is a short walk from Otemachi Station on the Chiyoda, Tozai, Marunouchi, Hanzomon and Mita Subway Lines. It can also be reached in a 10-15 minute walk from Tokyo Station. 東京メトロ丸の内線、千代田線、東西線、半蔵門線及び都営三田線大手町駅より徒歩5分、JR東京駅から徒歩10-15分

The Imperial Palace East Gardens are part of the inner palace area, which used be Edo Castle, and are open to the public. Although none of the main buildings remain today, but some buildings such as moats, walls, entrance gates and several guardhouses still exist. You can relax at center lawn surrounded by many plants including beautiful Japanese Edo style garden with pond and orchard of old variety of fruits.
