東京府江北村（現・東京都足立区）の荒川堤で栽培されていた大島桜系の里桜です。花は淡紅色で、内側と外側の花びらが同職の美しい品種です。
It is a satozakura mainly effected Oshima (C. speciosa) and was cultivated at the Arakawa bank in Tokyo (currently Adachi-ku). The flowers are pale pink and the same color inner and outer petals are beautiful.
