The original tree is located in the precincts of Omura Shrine in Omura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and is designated as a natural monument of the prefecture. It was named after the place where the shrine is located was the ruins of the main enclosure of Kushima Castle. This variety is similar to other popular Satozakura (C. serrulata) named Fugenzo, but is said to be different in that it produces more incomplete flowers in two leafy pistils and blooms in two stages. However, since this is a phenomenon that can also be seen in Fugenzo, it is said that it will be necessary to examine the differences between the two in detail.
