もと東京の荒川堤にあった品種です。花弁が不規則にねじれているのが特徴です。花弁の外側の色が濃く、咲き始め濃い色の蕾から、開花の後、淡紅紫色の花となっていく桜です。
Originally a variety that was on the Arakawa bank in Tokyo. The petals are twisted irregularly. The color of the outside of the petals and buds is dark at beginning of bloom shade out to pink-purple flowers after flowering.
