学名/ Botanical name : Cerasus serrulata ‘Matsumae-fuki’

原産地/ Original : Japan


It is developed by Masatoshi Asari, a Sakura researcher in Matsumae in 1968. This variety was created by crossing one Satozakura (C. serrulata), ‘Amayadori’ with one line of Oshimazakura (C. speciosa) ‘Gozanomanioi’, and original tree can be seen in a sample orchard in Matsumae Town. Some flowers become more than 6 cm, making it one of the largest half-double-flowered varieties.
