岩手県盛岡市周辺で多く栽培されていますカンザンよりやや淡い桃色です。植えられていたサトザクラと周囲のオオヤマザクラから生まれたものと考えられていて、オオヤマザクラの性格を残しています。
This pink double petal variety is popuar cultivar in Morioka city in Iwate pref. and considered as hybrid between Sargent’s cherry; Oyama-zakura,(C.sargentii) and Satozakura (C.serrulata), and retaining charasteristics of Sargent’s cherry.
