原産地/ Original : Japan
長野県伊那市高遠町の城址公園に植えられている桜で、「高遠の小彼岸桜」とも呼ばれていましたが小彼岸としては大木になる品種で、林弥栄によりこの名がつけられました。ソメイヨシノより少しだけ濃い目の淡桃色です。高遠藩内藤家の下屋敷であった新宿御苑にはゆかりのあるこの高遠小彼岸が多く植えられています。
This cherrry’s variety originated in Takou town in Nagano pref. as kohigan means small vernal equinox. Although is named “small” , this tree becomes relatively large tree.
