名前の通り、金沢の兼六園で江戸時代から栽培されてきた桜で、花びらが250枚から300枚と多く花が菊のように見えることからこの名前があります。
Name of this variety come from “Kenrokuen” one of the three fomous Japanese garden in Japan located in Kanazawa, and Kiku means chrisumthemus, shape of flower looks like chrisumthemus by many number of petals, which can reach 300.
