原産地/ Original : Japan
マメザクラ (C.incica)とエドヒガン(C. spachiana)の雑種といわれていて、富山県南砺市箕谷の自生地から栽培化されたと言われています。自生地は富山県の天然記念物になっています。エドヒガンとオオヤマザクラ(C.sargentii)との交雑とする説もあるようです。
It is a local native variety developed by natural cross of Edohigan (C. spachiana) and Mamezakura (C.incica) or Oyamazakura (C.sargentii) and native growing area is conserved as natural reserve by local government.
