花は枝に、アンズやモモとよく似た白色・桜色・桃色の花弁の端に小さな切り込みの入った花をサクラ同様一斉に咲かせる。ただし花柄が非常に長いサクラの花と違いアーモンドは花柄が非常に短く、枝に沿うように花を付けるため、桜色・桃色の花の品種の場合は一見モモの花のように見える。
The flowers are white to pale pink, 3–5 cm diameter with five petals, produced singly or in pairs and appearing before the leaves in early spring.
