遠くから見ると桜のような白い花をたくさん咲かせます。秋にはブルーベリーのような濃い紫色の実をつけ、食べられますがそのまま食べるとかなり酸っぱいようです。
The flowers are 1.5 centimetres diameter, with five creamy-white petals; they are produced shortly before the leaves in early spring.
