夏にヒマワリよりも小型の黄色い花を咲かせます。属名のHeliopsisは太陽に似たということでヒマワリに似たとの意味だそうです。
It has yellow flower resemble to sunflower but smaller than it. The name Heliopsis from Greek helios for “sun” and opsis for “appearance” refers to the bright yellow color of the flowers.
