チゴユリの仲間ですが、チゴユリのように花弁は開かず、閉じており、寺院の装飾に使われる宝鐸ににているのでこの名前がついています。
It belongs to same group of the Chigo lily (Fairy bells, Disporum smilacina), the petals of this species do not open, and this name is given because it resembles the bell used to decorate temples.
