原産地/ Original : Asia, from Sakhalin and Japan west to southwestern China.
若い枝は鋭いとげがある、肥えた土地に生えるので、開墾する土地の目安になったといいます。欅に似た木目があり材木としても一部利用されます。
Altough its rather exotic appearance, the tree aralia is a hardy, deciduous and highly ornamental tree. The leaves of it are highly variable in terms of how lobed they are – some plants will have leaves that are very deeply lobed, whereas others will not.
