ムラサキシキブより樹形はやや小型ですが、秋にきれいな紫色の実をムラサキシキブより密にならせます。庭木として好まれます。
It blooms small pink to white flowers in early summer and has very beautifull berries which are small purple drupes. The fruits grow more closely together in large clusters than Japanese Beautyberry although tree height is smaller than it.
