マツヨイグサ属の花で、夕方からピンク色の艶っぽい花を咲かせることから、この名前がついたそうです。実際には昼間から開花している花も普通に見られます。ピンク色は目立ちますが、花が小さいので見過ごしがちです。
It has flowers with less than 2.5 cm diameter. The shade varies from pink to red.
