原産地/ Original : southwest China, Nepal, and Japan
枝が必ず３つに分かれることから三叉の名前がついています。春に葉が出る前にかなり大きな黄色い花の塊を枝の先につけるのでよく目立ちます。木の皮は和紙の原料となることで有名。赤い花の園芸種もあります。
