春と秋に二度花を咲かせる桜で、秋は９月頃から咲き始め、暖かいところでは冬の間も少しずつ咲きつづけます。八重咲ですが春の花はそれほど目だちませんが、周りに花の少ない秋から冬のほうが目に付きやすいです。江戸彼岸と豆桜の雑種と推定されるコヒガン系の品種です。
This cherry has blooming two times in a year spring and autumn, as known october cherry. This variety is considered as hybrid of Edohigan (C. spachiana) and Mamezakura (C. incisa) and relatively small flower and tree like Kohigan, double petal flowers in autumn are more attractive than spring ones.
