日本では春に花が咲き、夏から秋にかけて実のなるザクロも、年中暑いタイでは、ザクロの花はいつでも咲いていていつでも実がなっているような感じがします。街では絞ったザクロジュースを売る屋台を見かけますが、中国（やインド）から輸入したザクロを絞っているので、９月～１１月頃に多くの屋台が見られます。パリでは八重咲きのザクロを見かけました。
