花はピンクの5弁の可愛らしい花を咲かせます。果実の断面が五芒星型をしているのでスターフルーツと呼ばれています。果実の味は薄く、酸味がありますが、生食やサラダ・ピクルス・砂糖漬けなどに用います。
The flowers are small and bell-shaped, with five petals of rose to red-purple that have whitish edges. The fruits have a thin, waxy skin that is orange-yellow colored. The juicy fruits are yellow inside when ripe and have a crisp texture and eaten fresh or pickles or candied fruit.
